Students are identified as requiring extra support using information from a range of sources including parents, previous schools, classroom teachers, and assessment data.
Specific learning needs are addressed though modified programmes that run inclusively in students' home, technology and module classess.  Extra support is provided in a variety of ways including teacher aide assistance and specialised literacy and numeracy resources.
The school Special Educational Needs Coordinator  (SENCO) also provides support for students and classroom teachers, helping to ensure that learning needs are met in an effective, inclusive and meaningful way.
