The 'Arts' consists of four disciplines, Music, Dance, Drama and Visual.

During their time in Visual Art the students develop works in drawing, painting, printmaking, clay and ceramics as well as sculpture and model making.  A specialist teacher works with classes on a rotational basis teaching Visual Arts.

Modules provide opportunities for students to participate in performance and art extension groups.  These include orchestra, rock band, extension choir, guitar, dance, drama groups and art centred sctivities.

Tuition for a variety of instruments (some of which can be hired) is available through the Waimea College/Intermediate tuition programme.

Every year, a cultural exchange with Raroa Intermediate in Wellington takes place. Specialist musical and performance groups including the Kapa Haka group are involved in this week of sharing and performing. music:

Every second year students are given the opportunity to combine their talents tp participate in some form of school production.
