In Social Studies we aim to give our students a greater awareness, understanding and appreciation of the nature of New Zealand society  and aim to increase their understanding of other cultures and value systems. We foster skills in critical and reflective thinking.

Our programmes and resources ensure that students are given a balanced and varied perspective in this area.

Students are given the opportunity to participate in quizzes and local competitions through our current events module and Newspapers in Education programme.
