Through science we teach students to follow an accepted scientific process, to  develop an enquiring mind.

For students who have a particular strength or interest in this area we offer extension activities such as the ICAS Science Exam, science based modules and the Nelson Schools Science Fair.
The school has a dedicated science room, which has been developed to provide for more specialist activities.  This room is staffed by a part-time specialist science teacher.
