Part-time Scale A Teachers

Advanced Digital Photography: A closer look into the techniques of taking and processing digital photographs including photography thehniques and editing images.
Advertising and Promotion Team: For the school production.  Invitation only.
Beadwork: Using beads and wire to makes small ornaments. Need own beads or $2
Beginners Cross Stitch: Create a bookmark of fridge magnet learning the traditional skill of cross stitch (You will need to supply some gear).
Beginners Guitar: Learn basic cords.
Board Games with Excel: Create a board game that you can play on the computer using dice counters and questions.
Book Reviews: Reading and creating book reviews.  Looking at picture books.
Calligraphy: The art of beautiful writing.  Need tp purchase a pen at $3.50.
Cartooning: Learn to draw a variety of cartoons through a step by step process then create fun comic strips.
Collage:
Combine pictures to form new art works
Community Service:  Helping others in the Community. A double module for Year 8 students only. Check with Mr Dobbie before selecting this module.
Creative Fairytales: Is the big bad wolf really so bad? Have heaps of fun rewriting traditional fairytales.
Creative Writing: Stuck for someting to write about?  Get a whole range of ways to write and things to write about.
Creative writing for the school magazine: Your chance to write and have you work published in the school magazine.
Cushions for Kindergartens: Work in small groups to design and make cushions for our local Kindergartens.
Design a poster: Design posters to enter in a competition using illustration and collage.
Electronic Group: Invitation/Audition only.
Flax Weaving: Learn the skills of this traditional art. This module is by negotiation with Miss Hippolite - $10 charge.
French Beginners: Introduction to language and culture.

French 1: For those who have completed one previous French module.
French 2: For those who have completed 2 previous French modules.
Future problem solving/Creative thinking: Solve futuristic problems and help save the planet.
Game Sense: Develop skills and stategies to play a wide range of games involving tactical knowledge.
German beginners: An introduction to German language and culture.
German 1: For those who have completed one or more German modules.
Guitar Intermediate: For those who have been learning for year nad know all the basic cords.
Healthy snacks: Creating food for healthy snacking.
Isometric Drawings: Draw and design buildings using geometris graph paper.
Japanese Beginners: Learn more about Japanese language and culture.
Japanese 1: Learn even more about Japanese language and culture. You must have done a previous Japanese module.
 Kapahaka: A performance group by invitation only.
Library Alive: Attention all avid readers! Come along to discover the treasues in our school library.
Magical Mapping: Learn to read maps and find your way around.  Locating other countries, exploring our planet.
Making Picture Books: Ever wanted to write your own book?  Well here is your chance and as a bonus you get to be the illustrator and publisher.
Marbles:Forces and Motion: Learn some basic laws of physical science.  Gain an understanding of forces and motion, through having fun playing with marbles.
Maths Challenges: Practical and problem solving to extend and challenge.
Maths Problem Solving: Learn problem solving skills.  Have fun competing with others, and get the edge whenit comes to our school and regional Mathix competitions.
Memory Cards: Use scrap booking techniques to make a precious card of someone you care about.  (You will need to supply some gear).
Mountain Biking: Mountain biking skills.  Learn about maintenance and safety and how to ride many of the Richmond Hills single tracks.  You need to be fit and prepared to challenge yourself.  You must have a bike with good brakes that can handle steep slopes.  Note - will start at the beginning of lunch time in good weather.
Orchestra: Invitation/audition only.
Pets Day: Prepare for the most significant event in the school calendar with this exciting and varied module.
Pilates: Learn basic Pilates stretches.  Improve your fitness and make new friends.
Plays, Poetry and Rap: Reading scripts and having fun with words.
Poetry: Learn some strategies for writing poetry in a variety of styles.
Production Actors: For thoes who have auditioned and gained parts in the school production.
Production Choir: Extension choir plus anyone else wnats to sing in the school production.
Production Dance (1&2): For those wishing to dance in the school production.
Puzzlemania: An introduction to the wonderful world of puzzles.
Rock Art:
Transform ordinary stones into minature masterpeices.  You need patience, a steady hand and an eye for detail.
School Magazine: Get involved in writing and editing this importnat publication.
Scrap Booking: Store and present photographs and other teasured memories in a creative way.
Spanish Beginners: Haste la vista baby! Learn about life in Spain and some basic greetings, colours, numbers etc.
Spanish Advanced: For those who have done a previour Spanish module.
Spelling for Struggles: Activities designed to help students who have trouble with spelling.

Sports Refereeing: Building confidence and skills to control student games in your class, syndicate or at lunchtimes. 
Te Reo: For studenst at all levels.
Tech drawing: Drawing objects in perspective.  Pencil, rubber and ruler needed.
Tech Drawing Advanced: Extend skils learned in previous Tech Drawing modules.
Technic Lego: Design and create with our extensive Tech Lego gear. Please don't choose this if you have done this module before.
Technology Challenge: Design practical solutions to solve real problems and enjoy fun with other teams.
Theatre Sports: Improve your drama skills through fun and challenging activities.
Tips and Tricks: If you have basic computer sense but wish to develop your skills further then this is for you.
Touch Tying: An effective program to help students type with increased speed and accuracy.
Visual Language: Learn about communicating through images.
When Art meets Maths: Creating designs and artworks that have mathematical patterns.
